A Brief Pause
by Mike Ash

No Friday Q&A this week, or for a few more weeks. I'm speaking at NSSpain next week and preparing for that is keeping me busy. Subsequent travel will interrupt my writing for a while longer. Do not despair! I shall return, and soon. If you're looking for stuff to read, I recommend heading over to The Old New Thing, which is my favorite blog out there, even though it focuses entirely on platforms I don't program for or even use. If you're looking for a place to start, this story about the heroic workarounds Windows 95 had to use for buggy 386 CPUs is great fun.

If you're coming to NSSpain, I hope to see you there. If not, I'll be back at it soon.

Did you enjoy this article? I'm selling a whole book full of them. It's available for iBooks and Kindle, plus a direct download in PDF and ePub format. It's also available in paper for the old-fashioned. Click here for more information.
